“Wake Up” presents a new project which would like to help you to offer each step of your
pilgrimages and walks for our persecuted brethren.
“Many of your brothers -in the faith of Christ- walk every day to reach Christ in the Eucharist; they walk every day to see their Heavenly Mother and to greet her with great simplicity; they walk to not deny Christ, to not apostatize and to remain faithful to their faith; they walk to flee, if necessary, from their own homes, cities or towns; they also perhaps walk thinking and praying for their unknown brothers in Christ whom they would like to thank for helping them to remain awake in the battle for their Faith. You could be one of them. Do you want to offer yourself for them?
“One Step + One Soul” offers you a complete guide so that monitors and pilgrims may be guided and aided to participate in prayer and reflexions on every step of the way. Make your pilgrimage an authentic journey full of spirituality, testimonies, prayer, and authentic Christian solidarity with those who suffer for their faith.

The “WakeUp Project” wants to unite to the Cross of our persecuted brethren by praying the Via Crucis (Way of the Cross).
In each one of the stations that Jesus suffered for love of us, we will pray for our persecuted brethren in countries such as: Eritrea and Kenya, Libya and Niger, Nigeria and Somalia, Sudan and Tanzania, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, Myanmar and China, India and Indonesia, North Korea and Pakistan, Turkey and Vietnam, Iran and Iraq, Palestine and Gaza, Saudi Arabia and Syria, Yemen and Egypt, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Meditations given by the then Cardinal Ratzinger in the Via Crucis at the Coliseum in 2005, makes the reality of our sinful humanity and an earth that has been sowed with the blood of the martyrs of Christ even more present.

On August 6, 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. Over 140,000 were killed, and many were left wounded. Eight blocks from the hypocenter, Jesuit missionaries walked away from the devastation unharmed and never would have any effects from the radiation. The Jesuit missionaries prayed the Rosary everyday.
"We believe that we survived because we were living the message of Fatima."
The night of August 6, 2014, many were forced to abandon their Christian cities in the Nineveh Plain. There are over 300,000 Iraqi refugees because of the persecution. There were 25,000 Christians in Mosul before the arrival of the Islamic State. Now, there are none. Christians are being persecuted. They are being pushed out of their towns and homes. They are being tortured and killed for their faith.
What would happen if we joined together to pray the Rosary for them?
Pray, whether in the morning, in the evening or at night; alone, with friends, or with family; at school, at work, in the subway, or in the car; in the hospital, at church, or in your home. If we pray the Rosary we will be able to spiritually support the persecuted Christians and help strengthen them in their sufferings through the power of prayer.

“In the present international situation, I appeal to all - individuals, families and communities - to pray the rosary for peace, even daily, so that the world will be preserved from the dreadful scourge of terrorism."
-Saint John Paul II
