Ferdinand III, the Saint: A Kingdom in Defense of Christianity

  • Published in Specials

HM Television presents Ferdinand III the Saint: A Kingdom in Defense of Christianity, a documentary made for the 350th anniversary of the Spanish monarch’s canonization. Ferdinand III was defined by Gregory IX as an athlete of Christ. He stands out among the kings of the middle ages as a king whose only interests were maintaining and extending the Faith. He did not search for his own glory, but for God’s glory. The cry, “God wills it” drove him to give a new impulse to the Hispanic Crusade against the Muslim invader, reconquering and restoring the Kingdom of Spain for Jesus Christ.

Fr. Rafael Alonso Reymundo, professor of geography and history, presents this documentary, which includes other interventions:

Rafael Sánchez Saus, Professor of Medieval History at the University of Cádiz; Manuel García Fernández, Professor of Medieval History at the University of Seville; Félix J. How can I help?

Thanks to the generosity of our benefactors, up until now we have been able to continue our evangelization through the media. The needs, however, are growing and many times there are unexpected expenses due to maintenance, the purchasing of new machines, etc.
