“From the Darkness to the Light” is the experience in many lives transformed by God’s intervention, causing them to begin “Changing Tracks.” Although they come from different backgrounds and their conversions have taken place among differing circumstances, they all give thanks to Jesus Christ for having come to find them. They thank Him for having given meaning to their lives, for curing their deep wounds, for giving them happiness and for filling them with love. Come on board this train and let yourself be guided by their stories so that you can also begin “Changing Tracks.”

Changing Tracks: Elizabeth Wieck

Elizabeth experienced suffering from an early age, beginning with family difficulties, her mother's illness, and a lung collapse in high school. She admired her mother's faith but realized that that it wasn't her own. That all changed when she went on a retreat her freshmen year of high school. From that moment on, her life began to change. Check out this week's episode of Changing Tracks to hear a beautiful testimony of the meaning of suffering.

Changing Tracks: Sr. Megan Conway, S.H.M.

Sr. Megan´s parents did all that they could to bring her and her siblings up in the faith. She received a Catholic education at home and at school. Sr. Megan went to a "Catholic-by-name" college. Everything seemed to be going well -- she got good grades and was playing soccer. She resisted the party scene... at first. But the peer pressure from her soccer team won her over in the end and brought her down so far that she nearly lost her faith. She decided to transfer schools, but her party scene lifestyle wasn´t so easy to shake. It wasn't until she met a "hippy" in her Theology class that things finally started to change for Sr. Megan.

Changing Tracks: Br. Matthew Nobrega

Br. Matthew was your typical American kid. His family fell out of the routine of going to Sunday mass when they moved houses and, after being confirmed, Br. Matthew decided to stop going to mass. A year later, through a seemingly meaningless comment about music, Br. Matthew´s conversion began. The seed was planted. He started to fall in love with the faith and with the sacraments. But when the Lord started to call him to the priesthood, he ran in the opposite direction. The Lord led him on a pilgrimage to Italy where He spoke to Br. Matthew's heart.

Changing Tracks: Fabio de Miguel (McNamara)

Fabio de Miguel, better known by his psuedo-name 'Fabio McNamara', was one of the first promoters of "The Madridlenian Scene," a countercultural movement in Spain in the 80's, characterized by a recreational use of drugs and new sense of "freedom" represented by music artists and television directors. He had such a huge influence in this movement that Pedro Almodóvar, the most famous representative of this movement, later stated, "We all fed off of Fabio." For him, sin was part of the past. He reached the point that his conscience no longer bothered him. He now admits that, in those moments of his youth, he was Satan's puppet, and he no longer controlled his own will. Satan owned his soul; "I woke up in the morning and thought only about getting drugs and throwing myself on the couch...I perverted so many people with my scandalous way of life." Hear how this famous artist Changed Tracks so dramatically that today he happily exclaims, "Now I receive Communion! What more do I need?"

Changing Tracks: Mario Joseph

As a Muslim imam, Mario Joseph was well-versed in the Koran and in the teachings of the Islamic religion. In fact, it was precisely the Koran that brought him to an encounter with Jesus Christ and with the truth of the Catholic faith. But his conversion did not come without difficulties, and because of it, he has undergone grave persecution. How has he attained his intense love towards the Church, the Cross and Heaven? He himself tells us in this week's impacting episode of Changing Tracks.

How can I help?

Thanks to the generosity of our benefactors, up until now we have been able to continue our evangelization through the media. The needs, however, are growing and many times there are unexpected expenses due to maintenance, the purchasing of new machines, etc.
